Hey everyone! My name is Johnathan Waller and I'm seeking your vote to be the Apprentice Schools 2023 Homecoming King! I started in the Shipyard in 2017 as an X31 deck electrician. I transferred into the Apprentice School after 3 years where I continued with X31 for 2 more years before entering the advanced salaried optional program and becoming an X06C cost estimation analyst apprentice. I'm an avid gamer and runner who a few months ago celebrated 9 years together with my wonderful wife (2 of 9 married). I sit on the executive council of the Apprentice School Student Association as the Class Committee co-chair and on the executive board of the Apprentice School chapter of the NSLS (National Society of Leadership and Success) as the Society Events chairman. I also love volunteering and playing tennis when I have the time. The Apprentice School has been an amazing opportunity and has shaped me into the person I am today. It helped me learn to cope with my short-term memory problems and pushed and inspired me to undertake a weight loss journey in 2022 that led to me losing 60 pounds that I have successfully maintained for almost a year, this October. The Apprentice School and my fellow apprentices has been one of the greatest experiences of my life! I've made some amazing friends and I'm happy that I've come this far with their support and camaraderie!
